THE IDEA BEHIND THE LIBRARY

Less noise.
More understanding.

DECT Library is a growing collection of practical notes on making websites. It began with a simple CSS layout guide: the kind of page you keep open while building.

Made for learning by doing.

Every beginner lesson combines a clear explanation, a small example and a task to try. The library is free to browse, with no account or email required.

Read here. Keep a copy.

Download a lesson as a self-contained HTML file to use offline, including its examples. Use Print / save PDF for a paper-friendly reference; interactive examples are not interactive in a PDF.

Progress stays with you.

Completion marks and your appearance preference are stored in this browser only. They are not synced between devices. This version has no analytics, accounts or newsletter forms.

Sources and reuse

Lessons link to MDN Web Docs and web standards for deeper reading. Examples are simplified for teaching and should be tested before use in production. You may download lessons for personal learning; no broader licence for republishing DECT-branded lesson content is granted here. External references retain their own terms.
